When I was first trying to learn SFM through trial-and-error, I actually figured out the gameplay recording on my own and managed to make something where I had a bunch of Scouts swarming a reference posing Heavy.

When I try to make a recording, but have already cut the sequence into multiple shots, that recording ends as soon as it hits a cut. I did the 2 scouts fine, but later wanted to add a third, but he only showed up in the first shot. How can I make him appear across the full sequence like the others?

i get a glitch where after i record something i will just get a still frame of scout standing where i ended the recording

I would LOOOVE to see a Portal version too. Bonus points if it can import demo files from the actual game as a starting point.

I can see this being a CPU hog, good thing I have 8GB RAM lol. But seriously thank you very much Valve, you've made this really easy, versatile and professional program for any use in filmaking. Extremely great work this will be a big hit in the machinimating community! :D

when i go into the "gameworld" once i choose my player everything is black, i can hear the sounds of my weapons when i fire and running when i run, but i can't see any of that, its as though scout went blind

If you read the FAQ they state that, and this is a direct quote:

"In the past, we’ve found that giving away our tools for free leads to the community creating amazing things for themselves and for others. We can’t wait to see what amazing creations you make with the SFM."

What makes you think they would just turn around and charge for it?
