I had no idea some everyday herbs and spices could do so much for gut health. Love the tier list format — super clear and engaging

Dr. Gundry, a relative of mine had polyps removed from the colon and upon dissection of the polyps, the doctors found cracked black pepper inside. This was at USC hospital and they told him to never eat cracked black pepper and use fine powdered one instead or replace it with another kind. From what he explained, cracked black pepper can get entangled in the towel-like fibers of the large intestine and cause incessant irritation in the same place without being able to leave. The body then begins to envelop the pepper over and over to isolate it and creating the small tumor mass that sometimes will continue to grow. From that day forward I've tried to tell everyone I know. I'd appreciate it if you could speak on this subject in one of your future podcasts.

I have learnt so much with this video.
I use oregano in all my homemade meals as well as a tea…
Basil is used to cooked and fresh meals..cilantro is added to almost every salad
and ginger seems to sooth my belly…
Fennel seed and chamomile tea are very soothing.
I will now harvest my sage leaves as I did not know about this super power spice… I grow sage for its silvery colour leaves and for its beauty…

I love adding a chunk of ginger to my smoothies, really energising and warming but it'll be the first one to go if i start having issues! Thanks for the warning

Use ginger wisely. It helps digest meat. Perfect pair.

Great information. I also use bay or laurel leaf whole and dried. I also heard that the brand, Simply Organic uses no heavy metals. Many dried spice brands spray metals on the leaves before grinding or packaging them.

And thank you for the great information, but I love to use garlic! You didn’t mention garlic at all… I have read that garlic is great at killing bad bacteria, as well as being an antiviral
