I think they're coming. I was able to pickup a 7900XTX on Newegg Business for $750 a few weeks back with coupon. I wanted to wait but had to pull the trigger at that pricing.

Likely the 7800XT and 7700XT tier stuff. 7900XT+ is “ultra enthusiast”. I would suspect FSR 3.0 is going to release with them

Enthusiast is a subjective term so you're free to interpret it however you like, but the only cards being announced in Q3 are the 7700 and 7800. As much was I would love to see a 7950XTX or even the rumored 7990XTX it just isn't going to happen in Q3.

first time we hear about artifacts (other than Moore's Law is Dead months ago)... hardware level can be fixed by revised steppings o nthe silicon, but if it was as said in the chiplet bonding...IS there any offcial statement on the RDNA3 missing performance and power efficiency?

what niche market would a 7950 xt/xtx serve then ? I think AMD considers that too. They also propably know many are waiting for 7700/7800 release instead. Topcards aren't really selling as it is with the still high prices despite the anounced lowerings. AMD bundeling Starfield game to promote sales is indicative.

I might love to see a 7950XTX too, but what I’ve been seeing is “enthusiast” is now the upper-mid tier of cards, for last gen that was the 6700XT, 6750XT, 6800 and 6800XT cards. Cards near the top but not breaking the bank. The top-line cards now are being called the “halo” cards, for those people who just want to bleed money.

i have 133 idle power at the desktop doing nothing.

however i found out that if ill close instant replay the idle power is much lower around 50+ still way to high.

and i have it since i had one screen 144hz hd monitor. didnt check the old monitor without the instant replay tho.

There IS a hardware bug confirmed by a radeon engineer though, the AV1 encoder is bugged but will be fixed next generation.

Damn i was pulling the trigger to buy a 7900 xtx sapphire nitro + vapor x for 1200 Euro, finally i ended my waiting for the 7950xtx and was about to buy that baby..now what? Should i wait again?
Btw i have a 6900 xt sapphire nitro+ and playing at 3440x1440 and still im not sure if it's really worth an upgrade ( but at the end i was buying it just because i wanted it), any toughts? Should i press the buy button?

I think you are correct on calling it BS. The "likely" cancellation of the 4090ti is probably due to the fact that even Nvidia doesn't believe AMD will come up with a 7950. When the market is screaming for GOOD and AFFORDABLE midrange cards.

It was literally leaked that the gpus will be 7700 and 7800, to be priced 399-449, and 499-549 respectively, depending on if AMD wants to go cheaper or a bit more expensive. The 7800 even had benchmarks making it a bit faster than 4070.

Honestly I would have liked an throwback to the 7970 HD - a Monster of a card. So something like a RX 7970 (XTX/XT/HD?) but lets be real - the AMD marketing team will also miss this really low hanging fruit. But I also suspect Q3 will be a paper launch and the real launch will be Q4 end / Q1 2024. Anyways thx for the update.
