Wire recorder demo

Repairing another antique. Found this unit for $18. Have replace a few caps and done some cleanup on the wire transport.

Interesting to hear how thee recording sounds. About as muddy and about as clear as I expected.

My parents had a wire recorder in the 1950's. The only one I've ever seen.

I demolish old houses in the ghetto of a bigger city. I found one of these and from having tube amps and a fascination for relics, antiques, and electronics (loosely) I knew it was special. It's from 1945. I'm trying my best to restore it. It's a head ache when you don't have manuals and guides...ps. I'm not an electrician. I'm a laborer 😂
