Reminder that OE system was designed with drops in mind. So this is not just a "drops nerf", this is a nerf on how many skins you'll unlock, purchased or otherwise.

Yeah after missing half the emote drops from last year despite watching everyday and getting literally dozens of copies of the emotes I had, the inability to reroll esports icons or esports emotes, the nerfs to disenchantment orange ess, I just am not going to bother with esports rewards anymore. Especially if they are nerfing them further. Its a really weird way to get people to watch your esport by constantly not making it worth it.

i was under the impression that drops were on but rare. now that they explicitly state that drops are turned off i wonder how it will affect viewership lol

I'm sitting at 1300hours watched; aka 53 days of actual live games being watched.
Not a single drop yet this year.
Last year's worlds came in to 20 drops less than the year prior.

! I'm afraid this news isn't only for the LEC but for all drops in every region.

Great to see Riot hasn't ran out of ideas to make them even more unfavored by their playerbase.

It's understandable, Riot need to recover the money they spent from this season's extremely complex cinematic. Expect more nerfs in drops!

I haven't gotten anything other than icons from eSports for the past year or so, so it's nothing for me to be honest but I see rito doing well in cutting contents anywhere (any%)
