Coming to God with Empty and Open Arms Through Self-Observation

Self-observation and self-awareness can be a tremendous tool in coming to know ourself as God. The ego expresses itself within the body. When our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs aren't in alignment with our highest Truth, it can be felt in the body. We may notice that we walk hunched over, protecting our heart or that stress shows up as pain and tension. Because of this, we can use awareness of the body and the sensation that arises within it as a tool to free us from the ego.

We have been conditioned to identify with what we feel and think. We have mistaken who we are as expansive, eternal, and loving light for our emotional state. We are not our thoughts and feelings, but the Spirit that is aware of our thoughts and feelings. Here is an opportunity to become seated within our Truth, while we gently and lovingly observe and accept all that comes and goes within our mind and body. This practice helps us to both become aware of and remove the blocks and obstacles within. We now come to God with empty and open arms.

Today Chris Casasnovas beautifully shares how the practices of self-observation and self-awareness have transformed his life, the importance of loving-kindness, and how simply accepting what is has the power to free us from our ego. Welcome to the Friday Group!

This example of Ho' oponopono is great. Amending our conflicts instead of walling it off. So grateful!
