My horrible supervisor summed up in 60 seconds. Some people should never be in leadership roles

Silent treatment can also be no longer be willing to be abused by someone

Sometimes it is hard to tell someone what is wrong when you are afraid of how it will go. Trying to keep peace is one thing but keeping things in causes anxiety.❤

Silent treatment was my partners weapon - until I mirrored this behaviour. Sometimes we did not even say "good morning" when we woke up... I got depressive and drank too much to soothe my internal pain. Since separation and therapy I am sober...

Jealousy from someone you love and care about can be one of the worst feelings. If it is a theme in a friendship, I have learned to let that friend go. A friend who can’t be happy for you isn’t a friend.

It's crucial to build a relationship with someone who is self-aware and has insights into their behavior.

My exboyfriend gave me that kind of treatment: no messages for days, we wouldn't see each other very often and I would just wait in despair for an answer... and sometimes, when we were together, he would belittle me with little comments like "you're awkward when you dance", "you are very thin, you must be anorexic"...
Some relationships leave you with some scars. Sometimes it's tough to rebuild your self-image after that.

I had no idea about 'Withholding Praise' being passive aggressive. Them withholding made me question if I was just coming off as a "Show-Off" or something. Now I tend to hold everything in and praise myself for my achievements.

There are many other ways. "Accidentally" destroying your work or possessions.
Disappearing for days at a time.

Also: sometimes people need time and space to sort their emotions and thoughts out. Sometimes that looks like silence, but it is processing. If it is a weapon that is not okay, but it is okay to give space and settle an argument and hurt feelings once emotions have calmed down enough for communication to happen.

Withholding is one I have experienced the most--good to know where it comes from

Number 1 is what happens when I walk away from narcissistic people. I no longer have anything to say or do with them.

My mom is all that. Plus, when she's not getting what she wants or when she's mad because the truth of her being wrong looks unbearable to her, she will be stomping around, pretending I don't exist and she won't be speaking to me for days, even when I am asking her about an important matter. Exactly like a stormy teenager. Only that she's almost 60 years old. Certainly, sometimes it must be making her feel bad when she's realising how I am more mature than she is 😂

She’s right on the money✨. Passive aggressiveness is only committed by people who are weak-minded & souled & are deeply insecure. They don’t deserve your energy nor thoughts👏❤️

Reminder: Silent Treatment is more than just I don't want to talk about me.

Lots of people are more passive aggressive than they realise. I coach team leaders and manager. Its surprising how many people think they are being witty at work.... when in fact, they are being passive aggressive aka the loaded insult.

Thank you for sharing these videos; they are very helpful. I am experiencing something similar to what is shown in this video. God bless and grant peace to those who suffer because of this.

I LOVE this channel's content, but sometimes I am taken away & slightly distracted by just how beautiful Dr. Julie is. & I'm a straight woman!! Her voice is so calming, too. We are lucky she shares such valuable information.
