A SIMPLE way to IMPROVE your landscape photography PHOTOS

I am in the highlands of Scotland as I travel up to the Isle of Skye for a few days of landscape photography. On the way I make a number of stops and shoot some great photos with my 70-200mm lens. It is a brilliant lens when you don't have time to hunt out a composition on a long hike and worked great for me on this journey.

Good points abt long lens use in landscape photography. One thing I've found it helps with is avoiding compositions that are all scene & no subject, esp when you can't zoom w your feet to better isolate a frame's main focus. Thanks for the beautifully shot vid.

Epic intro Nigel. The reminder to plan ahead and have your camera ready for these detailed shots is a great reminder. Most of the time, my camera is closed up until I get to my destination. I've had many an occasion when I could've taken some nice images IF I had my camera ready to go. Great advice. See you soon.

Hello Nigel, I feel lucky to have found your channel. You are an amazing photographer with a very charismatic demeanor. Unfortunately, here in Miami the land is as flat as a plate. Landscape photography is my passion but the only time that I can take good landscape pictures is when I travel. I am planning to visit five of the most amazing national parks here in the states and my gear always includes square filters. In one of your vlogs I watched you take incredible pictures without a filter. Hopefully, you can spend some time explaining in detail how you manage those type of images when the light is in front of your camera. Thanks for taking the time to post such beautiful compositions.

Really like the shot you printed out of the mountains and the cloud. It's easy to just go wide with such amazing scenery all the time, but you definitely put a good case for zooming right in.

The opening drone footage to this video was damn stunning! Inspiringly stunning. What this video also shows me and reinforce is that great photography can be had anywhere or on the way to somewhere even on a trip to nowhere out in nature. Just have to alway have your camera ready when you see light and landscape meet accentuating that natural beauty. I’ve been watching a lot your videos today, more than a dozen I think and I’m really curious as how you hang or wall display your printed photos. All your photos would look spectacular in a photo gallery showing of some kind. Either way man, you inspire and you surely do awaken the spirit within.
