So since if Vader lost a big chunk of his force microbes lol when he lost his arms and legs (at the knees) then how much of Maul's force bugs did he lose and how was he still so powerful goes to show how much more he had to learn.

This is how I see it...

Maul is like a Dune-Buggy that you only intend to use for Dirt-Racing - it's going to get scuffed up, dirty, maybe even roll and crash - but it's an acceptable loss because it serves its purpose. After that, you just collect on insurance and get another one...

Vader was like a brand-new Italian Sports Car that you've been planning to get for 20 years. You finally drive it off the lot and can't wait to check-out it's potential. Yet before you really have a chance to drive it, you can't help but get a sense of dread in regards to it - your mind starts actively assuming that the worst is going to happen. And because you care more about it, you're more attuned to those suggestions...

And unfortunately for Sheev, he had to wait _another 20 years_ for a potential _insurance policy_ to pay-off the wreck that is Vader.

I always thought it was the rule of two… one to have power one to desire power or die trying… so when maul was defeated sideous shrugged his shoulders and thought maul was not worthy of his power and left him in the ditch where he ended up and moved onto his next apprentice and the next and the next….

the simple explanation is the scriptwriters hadn't planned that far ahead to bring maul back lol

he didn't care that much about him. he used maul to get rid of qui gon and turn dooku, who was a jedi master and a prodigy (compared to a really skilled jedi assassin who was an apprentice nevertheless). I'm 100% sure they met afterwards and that palpatine toyed with maul mind to get what he wanted, but he wasn't his apprentice anymore.

I think he was very aware of Maul and just didn't care about his failed and replaced apprentice untill he became a leader in Mandalor.

The question is: did he even care? If maul showed up one day like wazzup brah, papa palp would just yeet him for good with his lightning.

Fun fact: maul would probably have a hard time defending against that because he was trained as a weapon to kill jedi, not defend against sith.

All this quest and obsession to figure out how to cheat death and become immortal, and they all overlooked the one who had the answer right in front of them. If the sith had studied Maul instead of doing anything else they'd have achieved immortality a long time ago, because oh boi, this guy just refuses to die, madman literally got cut in half and it was still not enough to end him lol.

I take it as palpatine knew maul was still alive but didn't care. He was old news. Maul didn't even have the humility to face him in his failure.
Either maul would find his own path or slip away into nothingness. Either way maul didn't interfere so palpatine never had to go out of his way.

I never realized how hypocritical sidious was. lol gets pissy about maul taking his time and taunting his opponent. When sidious has literally done that at every turn he has had an opponent to face.

What I am most curious about is the one part of maul‘s story of survival that I still have not heard, how he got the spider leg body he had when the savage found him?

The first obviously being Boba Fett.

And in both cases it was left to the extended universe to keep their stories going.

What if Bo-Katan Kryze was a stronger and better fighter than Maul and Pre Visla combined, thus defeating Maul and/or Sabine Wren in combat for leadership of Mandalore and/or the Darksaber?
