Whenever I'm using my food processor to cut up cheese for homemade pizza, I take the opportunity to chop up a bunch of other things as well. It's an easy way to shred things like onions, ham, chunks of leftover roast, and anything else I think I might cut up to use in a meal that week. If I'm already committed to cleaning up a food processor, I may as well get the maximum use out of it.

Never put fresh ice in your food processor!
Always wait until it starts to go clear a bit and run a bit of water. Strain it and use it then. Super hard ice can chip or break your blades at worst, and dull them very quickly at the least. No one wants to choke on a blade shard... :o

I learned this the hard way when I bought a snow cone maker and destroyed it on the first try. I read the instructions and it told me this same thing. I replaced it and have been using it for over 2 years just fine. It makes a big difference!

A great way to clean the food processor when done is to fill with warm water to the fill line and add a couple drops of dish soap and process. Makes cleaning it so much easier.

I use mine often to make cookies. I pulse 2 cups of oats about 12 pulses till it's all powdery. Then use it instead regular plain flour. The oatmeal cookies have a deep rich taste. You can add some rasins in the dough too.

I quite literally just made pizza dough using the exact same processor. Have done it before but I'd been concerned about the heat from the processor harming the yeast. Thanks for pointing out ice water as a solution!

Love the tip about making whipped cream! And I always thought I had to use the dough blade for making dough - thanks for the clarification on that. Great video!

Please make more of these types of videos. We all have appliances but may not know the "hidden" uses. The crushed ice one was new for me.

I made the pizza dough recipe again yesterday. I added some herb de province to the dough. It was even more amazing. I love this dough recipe. I think I will be trashing all my other pizza dough recipes. Thanks for sharing and demonstrating how to use my processor. I normally use my stand mixer but from now on I will be using my processor.

I use my processor all the time. I have, and highly recommend, a Braun processor. I used mine to make potato flour from dried mashed potato flakes - use those for Pullman bread. Mine has a little bowl that fits inside for smaller jobs like garlic butter, and blue cheese dressing. I also use my processor to make scones. Mine has a citrus juicer attachment, does a great job for lots of juice. Of course, I also use it to make pico de gallo and the mean crushed onion and pepper sauce I use as base for meatloaf. I love my food processor!

I made the pizza dough in my Cuisinart Processor. I have to say by far this was the best pizza dough I’ve ever made. I will be making it again and again. In fact it will be my go to pizza dough recipe.

Glad I watched your I Purchased the KitchenAid food processor 7 cup and I realize when I got it home that it did not have the plastic attachment for kneading dough. Thank you for your explanation as to where the metal attachment is preferred versus the plastic attachment. Thank you test kitchen I don’t have to find things out the hard way😍🥰

I use mine for nut butter... it’s so much better than store bought when you can add your own flavors and spices!

I leave mine plugged in and grade slice chop and dice every meal thanks for the crushed ice tip. 😊❤️ love my 30 year old Cuisinart DLC7 14 cup. It’s certainly a quality product.

This channel was the reason I purchased that exact same food processor. It wasn't cheap but I use it multiple times a week. Best appliance I ever bought for my lifestyle. 💖

Doesn't chopping ice damage the blades? My food processor manual specifically advises against it.
