The Premier is very far from telling the truth about protocols in place to protect the children, otherwise she would already know what they are. She’s not qualified to make these judgements, she is not transgender. These rules or laws, whatever she wants to call them, have an effect across Canada, not just her province, as it spreads more uneducated and dangerous rules, for a population that she knows nothing about, unless she is transgender or has a child that is. There is no guarantee that abusive parents, will not get far more aggressive with a child that their government has outed. Outting an LGBTQIA2S child is not the business of government. Politicians need to stop sticking their bigoted noses in matters that are this serious.
