The IPRN is an important partnership between three organizations: ISIP International Students of Islamic Psychology, the Al-Balkhi Institute for Islamic Psychological Studies and Research and the Maqasid Institute. It centers the Maqasid Methodology – an objectives-based approach – in the research, education and outreach efforts with one of the world’s leading Islamic Psychology organizations.

This is a five-part lecture series designed to give an introduction to understanding what the Maqasid Methodology is and thinking about its application to Islamic Psychology.

Lecture 3: Research Focus: How to conduct Research with a Maqasid Perspective?

Dr. Ildus Rafikov is the Deputy Executive Director and Director of Research at Maqasid Institute Global. He was the founding managing director of IKI Academy, where he teaches Methodology of Research, Islamic Epistemology, and Islamic Economics & Finance. Dr. Rafikov holds a PhD in Philosophy, Ethics and Contemporary Issues, along with a Chartered Professional Certificate in Islamic banking and finance. He has published extensively on economic methodology, finance, and education reform.
