Andy...You are getting better and better in every new video...This one really gets to the core now....read...do...analyze. Great content. Just keep up this great work, which is already inspiring so many people in the academic world.

Can you please do a video about how neurodivergent people e.g. people with ADHD can survive a PhD as many qualities of a good PhD candidate can be contrary to our strengths but some neurodivergent people seem to survive the process, so please interview them and tell us the qualities they had that allowed them to survive the process despite their neurodivergence.

I'm not doing academic research per se but I was stuck in doing some research for work and this video was really helpful. Thank you!

In my opinion:
1) Work on data analysis separately and let results speak for themselves. After that come back to the writing. *Don't do both at the same time.*
2) Even if you write very well, *if you don't have results YOU GOT NOTHING.*

There was an article years ago in EDN about one of the most productive of electronic IC developers (Jim Williams IIRC, or maybe Bob Wildar), who would write up his articles, documentation and application notes even before the (expected) results were in so that when his new integrated circuit came out from the fabrication and was tested, he just needed to plug the graphs into the papers and publish (usually he was right).
The idea of pre-writing the narrative can help in clarifying gaps in many ways, including 'lack of time later' !

I'm afraid of talking about my research without first publishing something on it. I don't trust people 🥴

As always, great video and I will make Suresh's words mine. This one is specifically great and is already in my favorite list.

I dropped out of a Management PhD program and I intend to apply for others at the end of this year. As an international student I felt negative confidence about my English writing skills and I feel terrified of the thinking of having to write from the get go. But even though your advice to start writing before thinking I am writing is kind of obvious, your example of start writing parts of the study completely addressed my question of "How the hell do I do this??" in a effective manner.

And the anxiety reference for breaking down big questions was PERFECT!!! 😂

Thank you Andy for this Video 🙏🏻 Maybe next video on writing research report and manuscript preparation for publication? That'd be a lot of help. Thanks.
