There is NOTHING more heartbreaking 💔 than going through your child’s belongings…knowing their life has ended. Wondering what their future could/would have been. Everything they didn’t get to do and see. It’s gut wrenching. You can smell their personal scent on everything and you would give ANYTHING to see/hear/hold them again. I know this pain and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone 😭. We are supposed to outlive our children.

Different situation but my infant son died and having to go through his belongings was one of the most devastating things I’ve ever had to do. My heart hurts so much for these beautiful kids’ parents.

This broke me down. Seeing those items, it’s heart wrenching. Those kids should be here today, alive, well and continuing to live out their dreams. I cannot imagine how the families are going to feel looking at these items, smelling their child’s scent on them. A different level of reality will set in, and my prayers are truly with them. Ethan, Xana, Madison and Kaylee… feel peace in the light. You are all loved. 🙏🏻

Really heartbreaking. Hard to even find the words describing how it feels to be watching those items being carried out. It's going to stay in my head for a long time.

The person who killed them is so selfish and self-important to think that he had the right to take their lives.
They are objects to the murderer.
Just terrible and disgusting. It makes me so angry.

I read that the reason the 911 call is so confusing is bc the girls from basement had seen something wrong w the boy and they ran out of the house in shock and 1 of those girls was on the phone to 911 and fainted as passer bys were going past stopped to see wat was wrong and they picked up the phone and said something to the sort of this girl here is passed out! Police unaware of people inside

I feel bad for LE also, they had to pack all these things up for their families. I'm sure it was heart breaking. Prayers for all.

I think sometimes when you follow true crime you become desensitised sometimes but this brought me to tears pfff ..I thought seeing the cars frozen in time covered in snow was so sad but this really got me 😞 I'm so sorry to the parents I can't even imagine.

The police and families asked for privacy while removing the personal belongings. So you film it. Shame on you.

That’s pretty quick! I hope that LE checked every personal belongings for clues

I hope they at least numbered the items - rooms 1, 2, 3, 4 etc with names. So much easier for the families to identify their belongings😥

Sometimes the best way of holding on is by letting go.

My guess is police also went in to get the victims belongings because there were two surviving roommates also whose belongings from clothes to books to study materials were probably locked in the house still. They really had no choice but to get Bethany and Dylan’s stuff out at a certain point.

OMG I can’t even look at my cat’s ashes, sympathy card and piece of fur that the vet gave us when she died over a year ago, so I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like for these poor parents to receive all those belonging back. My heart goes out to all of them. Praying this monster is found very soon, for everyone’s sake! Horrendous situation. 😢

Hardest thing they sent their children to school and now only receive their belongings😢💔

This is absolutely ridiculous. Those families DID NOT need those items right now. They could be packing out DNA
