Idaho College Killings: The father and family of Kaylee Goncalves questioned if police were too quick to clear some of the people connected to the case. The family is asking for clarity to help them understand why authorities were able to clear some persons involved so quickly.

“I don’t know what would prevent you from sharing someone’s alibi,” said Steve Goncalves, Kaylee’s father.

Everyone, please get cameras that show who’s coming and going from every access point to your home. It can be a simple doorbell camera that motion activated. Please do that!!

The cops "clearing" an individual doesn't mean much of anything. You can be just as quickly "uncleared" as you are cleared. And just because an individual has been pseudo-cleared doesn't mean the cops aren't keeping an eye on them.

My heart just hurts for these families of these precious young people.

The only important breaking news we want to hear is "We have the suspect in custody"

These families need to stay off social media & get counseling.
They need time to process & heal.

Praying for this family and all the families! I can’t imagine the pain they must be feeling. They didn’t deserve this. There’s a monster walking amongst us.

I think they have a suspect but are making sure they have solid evidence before they arrest him. This perpetrator is right under their noses and feels like he’s gotten away with it. It’s someone very close to the circle.

These people have never been the family of a murder victim before, this is how it is, frustrating. Just be patient and trust the process, let LE do it’s job, say as little as possible b/c you want them them to gather evidence & build a strong case. Every detail from the scene they let slip jeopardizes the success of the outcome.

I hope this does not happen here but When ppl say 'Its been 3 wks, what are LE doing?" I would like to share a local case - the Claremont Killer.
Perth, Western Australia is the most isolated city in the world, low population. 1996 -1997, 3 pretty girls were abducted during a Friday night out.
2 of them were found wks later in bush, 3rd never found. Largest, most expensive task force ever, 3 cold case reviews inc FBI & Scotland yard.
A break through - 2012, DNA had advanced enough to find minute traces under 1 girls thumbnail (previously unable to be used) that gave an unknown male profile. No match anywhere.
22 YEARS LATER - a random cold case check of an attempted rape during home invasion in 1988.. got a match! LE grabbed a discarded /binned lemonade bottle.. BANG! GOT HIM !
He was also the Huntingdale Prowler & Karrakatta Rapist. He also had attempted to rape a secretary at a business he was servicing. He was a Telecom Phone Tech n blended into surrounds. You would think in such a small population, media focus, millions of dollars - over years, that it would be easy to solve but it still took 22 years..
22 years of being Mr Normal, even got a state award for charity...
Not saying these are the same but some crimes take time to solve...AND ESPECIALLY THE EVIDENCE TO GET THE LEVEL OF JUSTICE expected.
However, for all that time, brave parents (the Glennons) kept it in the news, kept proactive initiatives going, raising profile/ money/media attention- as kaylee parents are...
Will add, he was convicted 2020

Do they want the police to just pick a stranger out of nowhere and say he did it to have a suspect or want them to search for the real killer? The murderer was very stealthy, give them time.

Everyone has an opinion but just bc someone was cleared doesn't mean they will stay cleared. I feel so bad for their parents! Gosh, prayers for them.

Earlier reports indicated Maddie was the one who sustained more injuries. Now they say it was Kaylee?? What a nightmare for the families and this community. I believe Kaylee's dad knows who did this and it must be torture for him to hold his tongue.

Understand parents frustration, but the parents need to let the police do their jobs. This could take a long time to gather all the evidence. Missing one little detail could let this sick person go free. Remember the evidence presented must be "beyond a reasonable doubt", must be admissible in a court of law and must convince a jury of 12 people.

i hope and pray they find the person (s) responsible for this. its heartbreaking. my prayers are with these poor families. ugh its Christmas time, so sad. they'll be so so sad trying to celebrate Christmas w/out their loved ones. i know this pain. im a young widow and ive lost 2 brothers. and a bro n law who was murdered a month ago. he was shot in his face by some junkies he kicked out of a neighbor's property. its just so sad. so unnecessary. so unfair!

Why are they talking about how the parents are feeling, why don’t they just not say anything unless they actually have news to give us? That’s what’s frustrating!

This day and time a person needs to stay sober and keep their witts about them, you never know what kind of monster is living next door.

Absolutely horrific, but I believe they will stop releasing info to the parents. Her father has done a slew of interviews and has released info he directly stated he was told to keep private. God give them strength, I can’t say I blame him.

They’re frustrated and it’s understandable but they will never get info if they continue going on the news and sharing info.

I also think they cleared someone early who shouldn’t have been cleared in my mind. I also find it concerning that the medical examiner doesn’t have a medical degree in the field. She was a nurse and while the experience of being a nurse can be amazing it’s not the same as medical examiner with a degree in the field.
