it's about "access" = "imposing" on other parents/kids education choices.

As a former teacher, this abhors me. Imagine you have a school with 300 students and as a miracle they have all still both parents. It means they have all different or slightly different opinions what their children should be learned. So instead of ONE schoolboard now 600 parents can be meddling with the education. A nightmare! Schools have a curriculum, often based on a certain vision of life, and parents choose a school closest to their own convictions. That should be the limit of their meddling, otherwise search for another school. If a parent on parentnight comes to me and telling me howor what to teach their precious son or daughter, my reaction would be, except when there is a very good reason for it, EXCUSE ME?

Talk about a monumental waste of time and taxpayer money. They really aren’t interested in actually working for the American people. That’s so sad.

I love and appreciate that even when you’re upset and frustrated, your voice remains calm, and your tone is still measured. Thank you, Luke. Stay genuine.

You've got to be kidding me. If I were a parent I would worry more about my child's internet use than what books they had access in the public library. Where has my country gone?

Why are they wasting their time doing ridiculous things like this? Don't they know parents don't need a Bill of Rights to do what they like for they're kids. End of It!

I had plenty of say in my kids education. The school was constantly sending home permission slips, I had to sign off on my kids classes when they got into middle school and into high school. What the hell are they talking about?

I can’t believe these people are being duped by the republicans to think this is about “parental rights “.
They’re doing the EXACT OPPOSITE in telling ALL parents how to parent.

Ashley is a common boy's name in the south, and it's often shortened to Ash. This law would make that illegal.

Only a lazy parent with zero interest in their kid's education would be clueless that they already had the right to know all of these things. Suddenly, they all become concerned parents. Give me a break.

Parents couldn't handle having to teach during covid. Imagine if all the teachers could do a walk out for a couple months. That would surely stop the nonsense. I'm already able to communicate with my sons school and his teachers.

Imagine your dad was Kevin McCarthy, like my dad is trying to turn our beautiful country into Russia! Sounds like a cartoon or something but it's real, crazy man!

They have not passed any bills. Did the bill go to committee?

How is that even in their purview? The House is responsible for budgets.
