No one is trying to "ban" these books just we don't want sexually explicit materials available to our children at schools there will be plenty of time for that later in life it's hard enough dealing with growing and learning without the complex issues of human sexuality gumming up the works.

A house alone can’t do anything. You need a senate, and a willing president to pass anything fully. Even then, it has to be approved legally through the Supreme Court. Besides, what proof of these books specifically being banned does he have?
