I don’t know much about our cars but started stressing when my 2012 Impreza wouldn’t start this morning, started watching videos on a whim and came across this one, starts up like a charm now!! Thank you!!

I didn't realize the black fuses did anything. I thought they were spares. I was losing my mind trying to figure out why my car stopped working. Thank you so much!

George, your video about the Subaru Crosstrec was spot on. I was trying to charge a new battery when I looked up your quick fix. I would never have found the cause as the manual in the glove box was for a different vehicle. You are a KING.

Ran into this issue on my 2016 Forester XT, however the problem was not a fuse in my case. Got stranded a couple of times and while getting a jump, after a few tries, it would start. Turns out that was by chance. On the most recent occurrence, I got it home in the garage and immediately began investigating. This video definitely helped get me on the right track in that it was an electrical issue other than the starter/battery. I did connect my battery to a charger which indicated it was good. I noticed the car was complaining about pressing the brake pedal before pushing start even though I was pressing it down. Also, the start button had an orange light on it, not green, I believe also indicating it wasn't ready to start due to the brake pedal. So now I started to suspect whatever sensor was attached to the brake pedal. I found the wire harness at the top of the brake pedal that connects the sensor(and probably does other things) and gave it a wiggle. Sure enough, that was the issue, and it started right up on the next attempt. I don't have a permanent fix for this yet, but at least now i can avoid having to get a jump or tow until I can figure out why this sensor/harness is so touchy. HTH.
UPDATE: Got this fixed by dealership after they issued a recall(WUE90 - "Brake Lamp Switch Replacement") for it

Thanks George!!! It worked, however, my fuse was a 10amp and was on the bigger fuse panel to the left of the service panel yours was on. I have a 2016 Subaru Impreza. The fuse position was labelled as ‘Start’. From the bottom left hand corner of the fuse panel it was the second from the left and second from the bottom....2 over and 2 up. Thanks buddy. ✌🏼

YOU’RE AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND. I just swapped this out and it fixed my problem. I was stuck with my dogs at the park and I was on my way in 10 minutes. Huge cheers. Thank you! 2016 WRX for reference.

Duuuude you saved me!! I was trying to figure out if I have blown a fuse or not, checked every single fuse for about 2 hours and could not figure out the problem until I seen your video. 10/10 helpful. I have a 2015 Impreza

Thank you so much my 2016 sti randomly died on the highway in traffic. I had to get it towed. I couldn’t figure out what it was for many people couldn’t figure it out but I came across this video and sure enough my fuse was blown. I can get it to crank now but it won’t start boost limited exceeded and knock sensor code is only codes it’s throwing so I got a bad connection somewhere maybe when I checked the main harness but thank you!

Tried this out, weirdly enough my fuse wasn’t blown.. so I swapped it with another 15M fuse, pressed the ignition button and nothing happened. I forgot to take my foot off the brake peddle and about 5 seconds after it gave me a slow crank.

Cheers for the video, I would’ve never known which fuse to replace!
