You can check the relay with a 9v battery. Connect the two prongs that have the battery symbol and you should hear it click

100% of the time, not 99, i'll say 100% of the time it's never the relay. It's either 99% of time bad starter or the remaining times a bad key switch mechanism

Mines a push start toyota mark x 2008.
New alternator, new battery, new starter motor. Wont turn on but the dash lights flicker like yours, starts when i knock the starter. Does that mean starter motor wasnt connected properly or?

Just replaced the starter battery and crankshaft position sensor . When i drive for a few hours if i stop somewhere and turn the car off i have to wait until it cools down goes back almost to C to crank it up again like normal which usually takes about 2-3 hours . I’ve gotten stuck a few times . What the hell can it be cause i thought it was the starter and it’s not . Any help?
