In the Avatar comics we dive into Avatar - The Search which covers Zuko’s quest to find his mother who had suddenly disappeared all those years ago
The story begins with a flashback to a fire nation town where a man named Ikem is seen reciting part of a play that he has a lead role in
He is then surprised by a woman wearing a dragon mask who happens to be Ursa, Zuko and Azula’s mother
They seem to be practicing for a play they are apart of called Love Amongst Dragons and it is then revealed that Ikem and Ursa are currently dating
They put on their masks to practice their kissing scene in the play before out of the blue, Ikem asks Ursa to marry her, prompting her to check if this is part of the script or not
He confesses that this is a real proposal and Ursa blushes profusely before agreeing to the proposal as the newly engaged couple seal it with another kiss
We cut to Ursa skipping back home as she can’t wait to tell her parents about the good news but when she enters the house her mom has a look of sadness
Her mom mentions that there is a visitor in the greenhouse and it is this surprise guest that flips Ursa’s entire world upside down

The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. His tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

I take issue with "another lover" i asume she had the one, her fiance. Fire lord ozai seem like "my way or i burn down your village and string up anyone you ever loved" type of person.

He was her fiancé. Ozai and his father just scooped her away, believing some stupid garbage of the strengthening their bloodline his offspring because Ursa was the granddaughter of Avatar Roku. I'm glad that Ursa still married him under a new face and identity

Wait, I remember when they went to theater, Zuko mentioned that he used to go to theater and I think it was that one "Love among dragons" that he saw a lot of times. Was the mother going with Zuko, so that she can see her previous lover?

“Another lover” that’d imply she was still with Ikem while with Ozai but she broke things off with Ikem when she became engaged to Ozai and only resumed her romance with Ikem once Ozai banished her.
