Essential Oil for Sore Muscles (not sponsored):

(I recommend Revive Essential Oils for massage because they are affordable, 100% pure, organic and third party tested. Best part is that they aren't an MLM company so no money goes to a middle man. You can order as much oils as you need at the moment! )

I’ve been a massage therapist for 10 years and the burn out is real. I was super passionate in the beginning and wanted to learn everything about massage. I had to switch jobs several times for higher pay because this industry will take advantage of you!

My best advice is to aim for high pay and less hours. I work in an area where clients are very generous with tips. I only have to work 3 days a week (while I work on building an online business)

I overworked myself in the beginnings and I paid for it later on. Most people want deep tissue, but working somewhere that allows you to diversify (scrubs, reiki, craniosacral, etc..) is a game changer!

Just celebrated my one year anniversary of being a Massage therapist in NY a few months ago. I can honestly say that going to school to be a MT was the best decision I ever made in my life.

Massage Therapists are angels😇
My mom was on home hospice care and a massage therapist came in and helped relieve so much of her pain. Afterwards she slept well. It was a gift to her and all of us that seen how much relief she felt. Sending positive vibes to every massage therapist out there🙏💓

Congratulation on following your dream! I will be done with massage school this December! I'm definitely changing my career. From being a nail tech to massage therapy! I'm excited and I wish I did this earlier. I can't wait to help people and take care of my health as well!

pros: Flexible schedule, good money once you gain experience, change people's lives through bodywork. I have never worked 40hours a week in my entire 13 year career.

cons: labor intensive, most jobs don't offer benefits no 401k, most places don't pay for cancellations, pay your own taxes etc.

There is always a trade off. I would suggest go back to school for something else use massage as a side hustle. It's physically draining and your hands will remind you in your golden years.

This is definitely good to hear from a LMT, I should have my license in about 3 months if internship stays busy. It is already tiring but I’m hoping to develop that stamina over time! Internship has helped me relearn my passion for massage after burnout from the classes so I’m hoping I will be able to avoid burnout from massaging. I’m ready 💪🏻 I also hope to start my own youtube channel soon. So glad of us MT’s growing together ❤️
