Pros and Cons to Being a Massage Therapist

What are the good things about being a massage therapist and what are the not so good things about being a massage therapist? What things would you add to this list?

What's the schooling like... I know it can be tough but I was told it's almost the same as a nurse pursuing her nursing degree

I have existing back pain. Kyphosis and Scoliosis. The pain varies day to day. Sometimes severe enough where I am afraid to move in bed, and other days where I feel little to no pain at all. I currently work in retail and that alone is rough both physically and mentally from standing all day and dealing with unpredictable customers and busyness. Would I still like the career of being a Massage Therapist if I used proper body mechanics? I don’t thrive in high stress environments and I researched that Massage Therapy is generally low stress compared to other professions. Also, I don’t necessarily mind doing laundry, lol. What kind of advice can you give me?

Massage therapist is one of the jobs I have on my radar but I'm worried about being discriminated for being a male, I've read some stories about how some clients will refuse to allow a men to massage them and even how some jobs just wont hire men and prefer woman, I don't know how I would cope with this I think it would really mess with me cause I don't want to worry about being discriminated for being a male.
