Pastors march in Akron calling for justice in deadly Akron shooting of Jayland Walker

A number of pastors and people gathered to mourn the loss of 25-year-old Jayland Walker, who died after being shot by police. The Akron shooting took place early Monday amid an overnight chase.

At 2 p.m., they began gathering for a "Prayer Power Purpose" march at the Second Baptist Church in Akron.

Dr. Roderick C. Pounds, the pastor at Second Baptist Church, announced the march on Friday night via Facebook in response to the recent shooting.

In the announcement, Dr. Pounds echoed there must be peace at the march.

“We will march in peace, but also power and purpose.”

Bailed out of passenger side door
While the vehicle was still moving
A loaded firearm and a spent shell casing found in the vehicle

Those Darn Law Enforcement Agencies
Just won’t leave those poor black folks alone.
Would there be this much protest BS if one or more of the officers were killed and the officer(s) didn’t get to go home to their families.

Black Folks your protesting has played out like a broken record. In 2022 - Black guy not understanding the word "Comply". It was obvious his elevator did not go all the way to the top. He stopped his car got out and ran - "Why"?? What was he up to in order for him not to "Comply and then Run"? Why have a gun in the car? Is Ohio an open carry state? If the body cam comes out and theirs enough evidence that proves this was an unjust use of police force than the cops should definitely be held accountable and be arrested. But if proves the opposite, that this was a justified use of force, and without a shadow of a doubt that Jayland was in fact the one who attacked first and forced the officers to defend themselves, then those preachers, protesters, activists, and journalists NEED to make a public apology to the police, the city of Akron, and EVERYONE that cares about what happened. If they don't, then that just proves that justice or the truth was NEVER in their interest, that their frauds, that they don't give 2 shits about YOU or your community, and their only goal is to sow HATE and DIVISION among us as a nation so we destroy ourselves, and should be rightfully branded forever as such by EVERYONE and the communities they inhabit!
