Fun fact if you get the Emulator PCSX2 on your PC/Laptop that plays PS2 games you can play the game from the disc.

If you place a PS2 disc in your computer, you could use the emulator PCSX2 to play them without needing the image file for the game.

The PS3, PS4, and PS5 game discs didn't load because your laptop has a DVD drive, not a Blu-ray disc drive.

(Addendum 8 months later: more specifically, a UHD Blu-ray disc drive)

PS3 and onwards use blurays. PS1 used CD roms I think and PS2 used DVDs

The disc files for PS5 were not encrypted, but it simply depends on the disc reader, the one you put the discs in here does not read Blu-Ray discs, but only DVD roms, CD roms etc., and that disc was Blu-ray, only and exclusively for Blu-Ray players, so if you put it in a disc player WITHOUT the Blu-Ray, it won't read it

puts a playstation 5 disk into a dvd drive (first mistake) and puts it into a computer when playstation 5 emulators dont exist (second mistake).

I'm not sure about PS5 discs but I know that if you put a PS4 disc in a Blu-Ray drive it actually gives you a similar result that you got when you put the PS2 disc in your PC
