When I do it it comes up with a pink screen like it is trying to play it but then it stops

tried doing this and opened the disc channel and it came up with a black screen saying to eject the disc and restart the console.

It is reading it, you need to go to the disc channel on a wii to see what it actually does.

I wish it would have. My wii has Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. I don't think they work anymore though.
