With Luke Skywalker claiming that the “Jedi must end”, people were left wondering what that meant for the Star Wars universe. This video will answer “Who Are The Grey Jedi?”, providing insight into the Grey Jedi Code, Je'Daii Order (Grey Order), what the balance of the Force truly means, and explain their origins within Star Wars. With so many Grey Jedi characters and factions, like Ahsoka Tano, Qui Gon Jinn, Kyle Katarn, Revan, Jolee Bindo, Bendu, Imperial Knights, Jensaarai, Je'Daii, and so on, it's only a matter of tim before the term Grey Jedi will become part of the New Canon, or at least be given a proper name!

Jedi: Peace is victory.
Sith: Power is victory.
Grey Jedi: Balance is victory.
Obi-Wan: High Ground is victory.

Jedi: the force is all powerful
Sith: I am all powerful
Grey jedi: I am the force, and the force is me.

Also Grey Jedi held *day jobs* married and raised family's. So much better than either one of the extreme of *Sith vs Jedi*

Honestly the Gray version sounds like a real Jedi doctrine

"Only a Sith deals in absolutes." - Obi Wan Kenobi
The Jedi Code is a series of absolutes.

To those who say there are only 2 sides of the Force (Light and Dark), I say: only a Sith deals in absolutes.

Is it just me or are the Grey Jedi some of the most badass characters in the Star Wars universe.

A Grey Jedi is just a force user that doesn't have the emotional maturity of a five year old that either cuts off all emotion or lets their emotions consume them

I would love to see a movie focused on the greys..

The first mistake the Jedi order made was pledging loyalty to the Republic. Why would any order hoping to bring peace to the entire galaxy pledge loyalty to only part of it? We've seen how this decision screwed over so many people. During the Clone Wars, the Jedi were forbidden from helping those in need simply because the Separatists weren't involved. The Jedi became the slaves of the Republic. Luke Skywalker fixed this after The Galactic Federation turned on him.

The second mistake was creating a code that forbade emotion and attachments. This decision was made to prevent Jedi falling to the dark side, but repressing emotions and strict rules actually caused more to fall to the dark side. Count Dooku and Anakin Skywalker are two examples of how the code was actually it's own enemy. Yet again, Luke fixed this after he created the New Jedi Order. Allowing Jedi to marry and allowing the dark side to be studied.

So basically; *Sith* control the force while *Jedi* let the force control them and the *Grey* ones are ones who fluctuate between this.

To become a Jedi is to be no one.

To become a Sith is to be the only one.

To become a Grey Jedi is to become no one, and everyone.

The sith are shrouded in shadow, the jedi are blinded by light, the greys are not shrouded nor blinded

I love the Sith the most, but my personal experiences have taught me that the Grey Jedi is the best format to live life by. Primarily the search for Balance, first in ones self, then attempting to bring balance to the world. If you’re out of balance with yourself, you’re not qualified to bring balance to much else.

Isn’t “only a Sith deals in absolutes” a statement of absolutes?

The original Jeda'ai were balanced. Like he said outside influences split them into the light and dark philosophies. The Force just IS.

My issue with Grey Jedi is that they will inevitably become the new "good guys" while relegating the Jedi as alternate "bad guys". It frees a whole class of potential characters of the complications of choosing a moral side.
In the end, while I like the idea, becoming a Grey Jedi should be a destination, not a starting point. No movie or video game should start with a protagonist being a Grey Jedi, unless of course the moral of the story is that choosing a side is what moves the story forward to resolution.
