Before we talk about "More nurses and more teachers" we need to be able to retain the ones we have first! Countries around the world are now competiting for nurses and doctors

He who doddles to the offy,
To pick up his daily express,
Will never wake up with the coffee,
That he spilt down his manky string vest,
He who cycles to the market,
To pick up his daily mail,
Will struggle to find where he parked it,
With his face in the pages, de-railed,
He who drives to the kitchen,
To pick his telegraph up,
Will never break bread with the formers,
Or ever drink from the same cup,
For the first is too drunk on the headline,
And the second too proud to ask why,
And the last is of no-mind to question,
All the views that came from his own eye,
He who doddles to the offy,
To pick up his mirror this morn,
Will never wake up with the coffee,
That he spilt on his string vest, all torn,
He who cycles to the market,
To pick up his guardian now,
Will struggle to find where he parked it,
He's too busy nursing his frown,
He who drives to the kitchen,
To pick up his statesman today,
Will never break bread with the formers,
Or give them the time of the day,
For the first is too drunk on the headline,
And the second too proud to ask why,
And the last is of no mind to question,
All the views that came from his own eye,
With the two sides forever in tango,
In the dance of the media spin,
A song that is sung like a yoyo,
Always plays as it sways, no one wins,
In a world thats obsessed with its image,
Whether green, whether red white & blue,
They all use political opinion,
To decide what is false and whats true,
As they walk ride and drive to their papers,
To bury their heads in the sand,
They forget to look up with a smile,
And feel real life with their hands.

4 legs good, 2 legs better - Starmer is becoming more Tory that the Tories. Look at his changes to Labour party policy in just the last 2 years: cosying up to big business, reneging on free trade aspirations with the EU, decrying support for legitimately striking workers, sounding more extreme than Patel on immigration, and stuffing the party with his own cronies at every level of the party to quell any dissent, not to mention his singular failure to promote electoral reform as a matter of the utmost urgency. The next general election may be the last chance we get to put an alternative government in place to stop the rot. The question is: will voting Labour be the best way to do that with the right wing policy platform they are currently developing?

This coming from somebody who will not support the working persons right to strike, and fires them that do.For a so called intelligent man (even though he does not know what a woman is)he spouts quite a lot of bullshit.
