Shortly after the disaster, the Cardboardian Transportation Safety Board, Maritime Division commissioned an outside deepwater diving team to find and survey the damage to the Opulence to determine, if possible or provide support for, the circumstances surrounding the disaster. Footage reveals several undeniable facts: at 0:17, one can see the underwater mount suspected of doing significant damage to the hull bottom and keel. The wreck rests on a generally even keel, with significant bow and stern damage. Damage to the bow section begins in earnest forward the #1 funnel, directly beneath the bridge and is seen at 0:39. The bow is completely destroyed with vertical rippling, consistent with a moderate speed, bow down impact with the bottom.. Forward well deck collapse downward coupled with the gaping hole near the starboard side bottom (below the bridge) and hull buckling beneath the #1 funnel at the hull bottom is consistent with damage that occurs when a ship's hull loses keel integrity. The gaping hole is believed to be the starboard side paired boiler detonating after it's structural seats failed permitting it to penetrate the #4 bulkhead and contacting the sea water, creating a superheated steam explosion.

The stern section collapse occured when the aft boilers broke free of their seats, impacting the stern fuel oil tanks causing a massive rupture and explosive decompression of fuel through out the compartment. The resultant ignition, flame front and subsequent explosion travelled through two compartments and vented up through the hull and aft funnels (#3, #4), as seen in the survivor footage (see testimonly of Engineman 3rd Class Stoker, only known surviving engineer). Footage shows a collapse of the stern section, consistent with a complete and total failure of the internal skeletal structure of the hull, likely from the rear boiler explosion.

The Cardboardian Transportation Safety Board, Maritime Division finds that this footage, with the eyewitness accounts and part one of this investigation into the seamanship and handling of the SS Opulence, conclusively show liability on the part of the two named entities below:

---Cardboardia Cruise Lines permitted the captain of the SS Opulence to guide the Opulence outside of established corridors and along and uncharted channel too close to shore,

---That the Cardboardian Steel and Shipbuilding Company, builders of the Opulence, are accountable for faulty water tight door construction, specifically, the lack of manual or mechanical mechanisms to close watertight doors,

This investigation is closed pending new information or evidence of a material nature that would warrant further consideration in this matter.

its always amazing how much these wrecks actually resemble sunken ships. like the cardboard decays much faster than steel and iron, but it breaks down in almost identical patterns and you just add a color filter and it looks just like a normal ship wreck

So I wonder, do you just leave the ships down at the bottom of the lake for awhile before making a wreck dive, or do you recover the ship right away, and add damage to it before putting it back in the water to film one of these?

I’ve loved this channel since I was 9 and I remember a lot of the ships sinking and to see them again is really lovely and nostalgic, thank you

In the next sinking video you could maybe put cameras at the bottom of the lake and see the ship hit the bottom (if it’s possible).

Can you please record what the house boat looks like now? That's what I'm really interested in as it has a full interior.

I wonder if the onboard shots are really inside the ship, or do you make a model of the inside?
