For being a wooden model at the bottom of a lake, this was remarkably eerie to watch. Seeing the lake silt and debris slowly encroach on and claim something that was nominally never ""meant"" to be anywhere other than dry land, in the daylight, really haunts me. It's the same feeling I get when I imagine Titanic (or any other sunken ship) in the mere hours, days, and weeks after the sinking. A monument and tomb to everything irretrievably lost.

I don't know if you have heard about this, but have you heard how the wreak of the Endurance was found about a week ago! She lies 3008 meters in the Wedel Sea. She looks as good as when she sank 107 years ago. Leaving Shackleton to escape the from the ice pack and save all 27 of his men.

I think it's time to pay homage to the movie 'Raise the Titanic'

It reminds me of how movies used to portray the wreckage before it was actually discovered

The video of this sinking was one of the only videos I've done that wasn't a cardboard ship. Should I do a sinking movie with the Lego Titanic I'm building? Or stick to cardboard?

When I was a kid I used to sink my plastic models in the creek where we swam then leave them there for a while to see the effects. It didn't take long for them to look about the same as this model covered in sentiment. Eventually I pulled them out and cleaned them off for another go at it later! :-) I distinctly remember sinking the SS Brazil! :-) Possibly the United States, too. Revell produced neat ship models back then.

In 1965 I built a Revell model of the Queen Mary. I used to weight the hulls so the models would float. A couple summers ago we put it in the wading pool my wife was using to cool off and it sank! I guess it sprung some leaks sitting on the shelf for so many decades. I always wanted to build the Titanic, but models of that ship weren't available back then. In 1965 the Titanic was already on the ocean floor 53 years as ship enthusiasts dreamed of some day finding it.

Very cool you finally found the ship model. Great wreck video. Amazing how it's still in pretty good condition.

Looks good for being sank a few months ago. It looks like how people thought the Titanic wreck looked like before it was discovered

I heard that james cardboard made a movie about this.

Even knowing this is a toy, it's kind of eerie to see this.

I pooped a little after seeing your beautiful model sink to the bottom of lake cardboardia! After wiping the tears and changing my pants I've decided I love it as much as all your brilliant creations!! You videos are so magnificently magical!! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!!

I'd like to know how your camera withstood the pressure at a depth of almost 2.4 feet? Incredible engineering! 😉

I can't imagine what went through nobody's mind as this model sunk to the bottom of lake Cardboardia.

If only the actual wreck was in this sort of condition! (I suppose it might have been for about 10 years maybe?)Very atmospheric, well done!

What if the real titanic sank like this! So cool… I know they thought it was intact before the wreck was actually discovered. People didn’t believe the accounts that it broke in two.

The bow is even plowed into the mud like the real ship! As for its condition, can't say I'm surprised. That's good, solid wood there, built to last, unlike your cardboard models. XD

Glad you found her. Certainly hope you plan to bring it up, if you haven't done so already. That's a quality model that's got no business being a shipwreck in a lake. :/

Beautiful job on the ship. I love the idea of sinking it and checking on it.
I look forward to future videos.
Thank you for your hard work.

That's beautiful, I'd keep it there and check it every year. Maybe when you 80 or 90 you will visit it and it will look amazing.
