My Nintendo Wii U Game Collection

The Wii U may not be loved by everyone, but it still has some worthwhile games and it's a fairly easy system to try to get a full set for. Here's my collection and some thoughts and memories on the console.

I love the Wii U a bunch, as Madden 2013 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II are amazing games. I liked the Mass Effect 3, Darksiders II, Tekken Tag Tournament, Assassin's Creed III, etc. at launch. I still need to get a few key games like The Book of Unwritten Tales, Giana Sisters, The Legend of Kay, Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero, Resident Evil Revelations, and Steamworld Collection.

I know this video is 11 months old but even if the Wii U flop Financial and it low third party support, I will always have nostalgia for this unique and quirky console

I remember when the Wii U came out and me and my brother were extremely excited and we didn’t know at the time the Wii U was selling poorly and people were confused by its name, but I was too little to comprehend news and media at the time and not only that this was my second Nintendo console ever after the Wii, so on Christmas 2012 I got my Wii U and I was so hyped to play the new Nintendo system and through 2012 to 2015 I played that thing to death with games like: SSB4, Super Mario 3D World, MK8, Pikmin 3, Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Nintendo Land, Wii Party U Just so many good first party titles for system. But in Late 2016 Nintendo announced the Switch and I was excited for the new system but then I started to see articles on the Wii U and how system flopped hard in terms sales and marketing, and to be honest I was kinda heartbroken to find out that a system I enjoyed did extremely horribly for Nintendo all those years playing those games on this system just to find out that it was doing poorly the whole time.

Rock Band 4 never went away, actually. Harmonix has quietly released new songs and score-based "seasons" that award with new in-game accessories, along with an expansion that added new modes. Whether that support continues now that Epic Games put them to work on Fortnite's music-based mode, who's to say?

I kinda regret selling most of my wii u collection. But I had to do it. The wii u game I regret selling the most was the Twilight Princess HD 😭

"Wind Waker is so great I mean the dungeons...." Which dungeon? That one time you walk under a fire bridge in a cave? Just kidding, but after you play OoT, everything else sadly feels like a joke.

Not a huge fan of the Wii U, my gamepad broke and since they’re specific to each console I had to replace the screen myself, and it has never really been the same. Shame!

Wind Waker isn't that great. Most of the islands are tiny little specks with not much on them. Exploring the ocean is a bit of a letdown.
