Did you notice this in Harry Potter?

Did you notice this in Harry Potter? After Sirius's death, Harry inherited all of his belongings, including Kreacher. However, in the Deathly Hallows, Harry gave Kreacher the fake Slytherin Locket that his former master Regulus had. Doesn't this mean that Kreacher was then freed, as he was offered the locket to wear by his master, Harry? Or perhaps jewelry does not count as clothing?

Idk bc after that he started working in the kitchens with winky “and” Dobby( dobby was dead the 😢) so maybe he was free but I don’t really count as clothing. I counted as an accessory but I don’t make the rules JK rolling does.
