when i try to insert a task nothing is there, what am i doing wrong?

the screen frame rate is so low it makes it hard to follow. the mouse cursor disappears.

Unfortunately this is not much useful, it could benefit from a better organisation of the subject, I am a pro user of ArcGIS came here for a quick run down for ArcPro as our organisation has recently moved to ArcPro but I found this really difficult to follow. Sorry to be blunt.
