The most beautiful thing about the different languages is how their different translations can completely change the meaning of the song while still expressing the same point. For example:

English: “Your poison is drowning me, but there’s nothing I can do. I wish I had something better.”

Italian: “I’m so addicted to your poison and I can’t get enough. Give me more of it, even though it’s taken everything from me. I just hope it’ll all end soon.”

German: “Your poison is the cause of all this, and everything I do is because of it. I hope there’s something for me beyond it.”

Latin spanish: “You and your poison are lethal, and it’s going to be the death of me. But do whatever you want to me, cause nothing in my life has meaning.”

French: “Everyone is benefiting from this situation except me. You’re the poison and I’m trapped in this hell by you. I just want to forget.”

Japanese: “I can’t handle this reality so I turn to you as my addiction, but a bad ending is all you’ll lead me to. Is it possible a better fate for me exists?”

Turkish: “You passed your poison to me and it tastes like drowning, but I want to swallow it anyways”

The Japanese version of 'hamatteru' can mean 'I'm hooked', but it can also mean 'I'm stuck/unable to get out' with the same sound. Personally, I think it's a good translation of Angel's distress 😭

in italian "Every night I'm living as theres no tomorrow" its actually translated more like "This night might be my last" and I actually think it has more impact on the meaning and for angel's character. Like that poison could effectively kill me, just like he later says!

The spanish versions and the italian (mainly the italian version) hit so hard. The italian version fits so well with Angel and how he feels addicted with Val.
