I know this isnt a hot take, but i was in several abusive and toxic personal relationships, some romantic, some not. This song perfectly tells of the highs and lows of those situations. You get so stuck in a relationship, addicted to the highs of neglectful or abusive partners or friends that you unwillingly wait out the lows, no matter how low they get... To the point you cant go lower. Thank you, writers, composers, Blake Roman... Everyone who made this song possible.

the fact that angel is based off a abusive relationship vivzie was in breaks my heart..as someone who was SA'd no one should ever have to go through that let alone everything angel went through.

im still recovering from being SA'd and hearing this song hits home for me and always makes me cry or tear up..especially how Blake's voice cracks up at the end just made jt sound even more sad and painful..

I watched hh when I was in a really low place. I was being bullied at school and felt trapped in an abusive relationship. I was told what to think, how to feel, where to go, and who to talk to. He refused to stand up for me when his friends would taunt, mock, and humiliate me. It got so bad I cut myself and was on the verge of suicide and I was pulled out of school. I knew him and his friends were the problem but I still wanted to be with him.
Poison really hit hard and it’s a perfect way to explain abusive relationships.
I’m doing better now, and HH was an escape and eye opener for me. I’m so grateful I found it.

Blake also did an incredible job acting and singing as angel.❤
