God the part with Gem makes me legitimately sad. Like Scott and Gem tried so so hard and did so well, but it barely made a difference. Gem still died next despite Scott’s sacrifice.

can we just admire how well this interptates how scar never wanted to be a villian but was forced to bc of the "secert keepers"/tasks and he was forced to become the villian he always tryed to make friends but it was just not destiny this timeline i like to call the life series each season diffrent timelines.

OH MY that parallels between Gem choosing to honor Scott's sacrifices versus Scar refusing to sacrifice Pearl THAT GOES CRAZY!!!! Especially considering Scar has been in her position. Pearl has been in SCAR's position. This is absolutely incredible I need to lay down for a million years.

This part gets to me for some reason. Seeing Grian's facial change when scar rejects him is so ironic. In past seasons, Scar was known as the one who would die quickly, and it was a burden to be stuck with him. Seeing Grian so desperate for a friend and getting rejected by the one he is always stuck with is so cool to me. It shows how forced into the villain role that scar had to play.

That frame of scar at the end with all the past winners hits. Remember when he was talking to pearl and bdubs and pearl saying how she feels bad going after skizz/tango because they've been so nice and Scar says "it's just nothing after this".

This is great. He was made to be the villain, and in a way he did embrace it... but _only_ as far as needed. I love how Gem's acceptance of Scott's sacrifice was contrasted against Scar's refusal to get the extra hearts from Pearl, which ultimately got him one step closer to victory when he and Pearl overcame Gem.

Scar’s victory was so poetic honestly. He tried the entire season to make friends, but the Keeper forced him into becoming the villain and, therefore, alone. He then finally gets a crew, feels like he’s finally made friends, even denies Pearl’s offer to kill her for his victory! But then suddenly, in the heat of the moment, he finds himself the winner, yet alone again
I’m flabbergasted that you made this in this short amount of time. That, and the fact that this is exactly what I was hoping for from the Lifers animatic community! You are a legend, Rusty, now go get some rest with that crown on your head ❤️

The parallels of Scar and Pearl is insane to me. Pearl had no friends in Double Life, and was the winner. Scar had no one friends in Secret Life, and was the winner. Their characters were there for each other when they needed each other. The improv of the series is amazing, and the stories that the fan base comes up with through the similarities will always be amazing to me. ❤

I think Earth is the perfect thing to represent Scar, as he was lonely the entire time, despite the others around him. Similar to how life developed on Earth. Scar is also a master of terraforming the earth beneath his feet.

I like how you showed the parallel between Scott sacrificing himself to Gem, and Gem killing him, and then Pearl trying to sacrifice herself to Scar, but he didn't kill her.

crazy how Scar spent the entire season trying to make friends and form good allies only to be shut out by the secret keeper forcing him to be a villain, then decided to embrace the villain role and won. thats a really good arc for the watcher's lore imo
