Everything about the 70's was the best. Cars, music, movies and life in general.

I graduated high school in 76. My first car was a 69 Mach one Mustang sold that for a 71 big block Chevelle SS, wish I had them both today.

Know that 302 /275 horsepower Z-28 Camaro held its own back in the muscle car era. I owned one, it was a boss! 🙌🏽

In my humble opinion the late 60’s, early 70’s were the best times in auto history.

The 1970 Buick GS stage 1 455 was a sleeper car. In later years it became recognized and was actually faster than the hemi and possibly the fastest car in 1970
Hot rod magazine done an article on it years ago
But I have to say the Plymouth Cuda was always my dream car!!

When everyone knew what model and make a car and truck was. The styling, the different sounds each motor made from different companies made, it was all so wonderful living during those times.

My 1969 Chevelle 396 SS was the best car ever for a high school senior. Spent every weekend tweaking it for Saturday night cruising. What a life we lived!

The 1966 L72 427 Sting Ray Fast Back 4 Speed Stick Corvette with Side Exhaust Pipes under the Doors and Curled Exhaust Tips is the most Iconic Muscle Car ever in the 60s or 70s Era . It would eat these More Heavy Muscle Cars up for Breakfast . That Monster 427 Corvette pushed out 450 HP Factory Coupled with a significant Lesser Car Body Weight . It had Rear Touring Gears in it for High Speeds around a Track . Those early 70s 454 Chevy SS Chevelles / Malibu's usually had 3.73 or 4.11 Low Gearing, so they would get off the line Spinning the Tires Quick, but they were not as Fast as the Corvette on Long Track Style Straight aways or Oval Tracks .

I've visited The US a few times in recent years, and I'm always disappointed that I NEVER see one of your legendary muscle cars driving around.

Here in the UK, there are so many enthusiasts renovating our old cars, that you see them all the time. It's heartwarming to see.

So sad the hobby is not nearly so prevalent in the US. Some of your 60s and 70s cars were simply beautiful. You should protect the ones that remain with all your effort.

Note that the 375 rating for the boss 429 was only for insurance reasons. the same goes for 426 425 hp hemi and the chevy LS6 big block 454. The real hp ratings were between 500 to 600 hp.

The Plymouth Roadrunner should definitely have been a choice.. It was nothing but engine and tires! I had a friend with a 454! It was a beast....

That's great because my😎 brother had the SS 454 Chevelle. It was beautiful it was fast.💥
I sure was popular and my brother dropped me off at Junior High out of his SS 454 Chevelle. Then he did a burnout and my fellow classmates were envious of me!❤
