I did Aya once over a decade ago...it was very hard, after a beautiful vision of these golden ladies pouring golden nectar all over me everything went black and I felt pain and torture in every level of my being...the shaman was very amazing though but I had to step out of the circle to not interrupt others' experiences, so after a few hours they were coming down, doing the songs and I kept getting higher until IT happened...

..I found myself at my death, my brith and at the present moment all at the same time...I realized every problem I had in life stemmed from a core pain from my birth, being born was painful, and my whole life was all about masking this inner core pain....including addiction disorder...once I had this realization the experience abated, I came down within 10 minutes. I had already stopped using dope a few years prior but went back to heavy pot use, but I had to abstain from smoking for a full week to purge the THC from my system but after the experience I had no desire to go back to smoking weed or using anything and became sober for the first time, I was like 50 then, I'm 63 now and I'll tell you, it was one rough journey but I got about 30 years worth of therapy in one harrowing night and I'm free and in my power today. blessings to you for taking the time to read this. After many years of the first call of Ayahuasca, I met her finally in October last year, right before my 29th birthday. My first and biggest lesson was about acceptance - of all parts of me. It's still an ongoing process though, but there I saw it clearly. I heard the voice: That is how it should be. (meaning: I should shine in the highest light of who I am). It was a voice of my mother, mixed with a certain entity-like voice (but very, very gentle).

For me the entire ceremony it was a very beautiful experience. totally magical. I saw many things. Throwing up was not so bad - I did it only in the 2nd evening - and just a little. And throwing up was more like a relief, not like it is after heavy drinking for example.

Also, on this ceremony, I forgave my father, and I told him I loved him right after I came back to my hometown. Since then our relationship transformed beautifully and completely into love and caring. And by forgiving my father, somehow I forgave all men in my life that ever hurt me. I started to understang things that were way beyond my mental capacity, way beyond of what actually happened, which is still very strange for me, how the technology of the plant works.

Also since the ceremony I still have visual hallucinations sometimes - I see mandala-like shapes, light beams, especially when I meditate or when I wake up in the morning but still didn't open my eyes. Visions are very strong. When I see something or my body tries to tell me some things, I now listen without a second thought.

Also, some other things happened: I completely lose touch with some people after that. Somehow I just didn't want to spend my time with them anymore. And they were so gently gone out of my life.

Ayahuasca completely changed my life. I am now in different processes - still not feeling ready to do it the second time. But I have a feeling it's right around the corner and it will happen for sure again... Since then I have a feeling like I'm living my life in depth, acceptance, love, and universal truth. 💗

As you described a ayahuasca experience, I thought, this is basically my spiritual experience. I have Native American in both sides of my family tree. Often my dreams and visions will include a small old woman with a crown of feathers. She is a constant teacher in all things Gaia and all things cyclic. When I dive deep, she often comes in as my own sweet Mother. She gently and sometimes not so gently shows me truth, wounds, blocks, fears, potential. She has shown me my connection to her comes from my Mother’s female line. I see her as my Great Grandmother. She once showed me my family tree. I climbed the tree and sitting among the tree branches were many tea cups. The same tree, but this time with illuminated birds with their heart lights shining bright. Ayahuasca changed my whole world (for the better). One of the ceremonies was the scariest thing of my life. Going into the following ceremony is the bravest thing I ever done. It's also the best thing I have ever done. There is a life before and after Aya. But like Christina says, do your homework when it comes to picking a schaman. It’s interesting you say that you can work with the plant without having actually ingested it. I had a very intense vivid dream of being on an ayhuasca journey guided by a grandmother spirit. I went through highs and lows and unveilings that were incredibly profound. I felt “shifted”, open and impacted afterwards. I had forgotten about this until watching this.
