I'm sure that you knew people would come for you after the Qatalog video. The Notion fanatics wouldn't allow that kind of heresy.

I totally understood that you weren't talking down Notion, but more what the future of productivity might look like.

You're allowed to like whatever app you want. Qatalog is great! I'm a Notion consultant and I make very harsh critiques on Notion in my videos probably on a weekly basis. Don't ever feel the need to justify yourself, we love what you do! You're definitely a huge inspiration for me!

I can appreciate your insight, but to me your Notion video was predicting an end when (in my opinion) Notion hasn't even plateaued, let alone peeked. Notion's community and their rapid development/improvements has positioned them so well, it's hard to fathom their fall – that is why you received the pushback. While I agree that Notion can be complex to setup, their flexibility is also the secret to success. My prediction, Notion will continue rapid growth unless they are acquired.

What I like with Notion is pricing is affordable. So many new technologies asking 10-50$ per users is ridiculous. I would use more Notion is they got better managing images (image viewer), more speed and better with classic tables (insert image in classic table)

I don’t think you have anything to explain or apologise for.

You’re someone with an understanding of the industry who’s making an informed prediction on the direction the market will go. There’s nothing to apologise for.

You’ve always promoted finding tools which work for you, putting in research and finding tools which will go the distance, avoiding the trap of constant switching. All you’ve done is provide another data point for those making their decisions now.

I say this as someone who’s followed your channel for years, uses notion everyday and probably even heard about notion from you.

I greatly respect your views. I have made several decisions regarding my productivity journey based on your suggestions. I enjoy watching your videos too. I believe it takes a lot of courage to offer an opinion contrary to popular views. I think you did a great job in that video and I Completely agree with all the points you are saying. Whether Notion will disappear or will thrive only time will tell. But one thing is certain and that is no company can be complacent. If Notion is not listening to people like you and resting on its laurels, it will surely meet the fate of many productivity apps that were good initially but today they are gone. Francesco, I think you are doing a great job, and please continue to say what you want to say because people like you are rare.

I suppose one of the reasons that people are put off by videos that predict the demise of apps that you have been promoting for years is the suspicion that your business benefits when you introduce new apps. YouTube is after all driven by sponsorship and ads.

Notion is a superb app but it could be the master app for most of the people. 2 way calendar integration would make a huge difference.

That those who follow and trust you will be likely to take your suggestions about trends and consider moving towards new technologies you support at the expense of the older ones? Really awesome to hear your thoughts on other apps and their flaws, it really does help apps improve, if not, gives light to other devs to create a better solution, and just... make a better future for people. I don't understand what Google is doing. They are completely missing out. Just get one hit wonder with Google Doc. At least in Google Doc should allow to open image view when you want see images larger

here where i live in south east asia, notion is just about to dominate between students and also general public in early this year. and knowing how little they care about other new apps because notion is already customizable for them, i think that's still a long way to go to see notion fallout in a couple of years. but i don't know how it's going in us or any other palces with the rapid influx of other alternatives
