A vending machine business works. Buy with cash several vending machines routes then operate them as normal. Pay someone to collect and stock. After a month or so your money is clean as you can safely report to the IRS the business and pay taxes on it.

You don't need to mess up the money. You just need to comingle it with legitimate money and pay taxes on it. And the bank doesn't need to be foreign, once the money is in the bank it is spendable. Though it was already spendable, it would have just raised eyebrows buying lots of stuff with cash. Its also easy to use dirty money for day to day expenses like going out to eat, movies, groceries, clothing shopping, etc.

Money laundering is not the same as tax sheltering. Dirty money does not care about paying less taxes what they want is plausible deniability. They need to pay as much tax as a regular business just their income is not coming from the regular business.

In 6th grade, we had a "currencie" that was used to "buy" books, pencils, and erasers ect. at the end of every quarter, i printed 300 "bills, " cut them out, then ripped, crumpled, and tossed in my back back with colored pencils and jumbled it around and mixed it with some i earned normally, we earned the "money" by helping clean, doing homework, listening to the teachers ect. When the time came to "buy" the things, i bought 1 expensive item and a bunch of smaller things even though i could've got 3-5 expensive items but i knew that would raise suspicion.

Open a mini golf course, reusing the same 10 clubs or so everyday, no record of how many people come in, all cash in hand, replace a few balls every few months, barely any upkeep on fake grass and a few novelty decorations.

Unfortunately, that beer they showed in that "joyful business" would shut down any money laundering operation. Any business with a liquor license has to be regularly inspected by the government, including their bank accounts, meaning that extra $5 million would stand out like a canary in a coal mine.

Here is a slower method or laundering 5 million.
Step 1) tell no one
Step 2) break it up into smaller, more manageable chunks. A lifetime of gas and groceries is nothing to sneeze at.
Step 3) deposit some of it into a savings account once every other week. 1 to 3 hundred at a time.
Step 4) make small purchases to improve your living situation.
Step 5) keep all the receipts
Step 6) declare what you spent and put away one your taxes, if they ask you where you got it say "odd jobs" or something similar

The IRS doesn't really care where you get your money, so long as Uncle Sam gets his cut.

I used to buy weed off a guy whose family owned a bunch of dollar stores in NYC. They would launder their cash through those businesses.

Got a Mexican restaurant here. I barely see anyone there due to old small town prejudice wanting the old restraunt but this place has been in business for years. I aint snitching yhough because its the best burritos ive ever had
