If marty didnt take the deal i think Del would just kill him, no need to have someone know so much about your buisness.
Also, it is so clever to portray Marty as happy and at ease. His demeanor changes as soon as Del reveals how his organisation works. I dont think we see Marty smile like this for the rest of the show.

The writing here is amazing; reminded me of Gus Fring and Walter White when he sees the new lab offer, but this stands on its own. Esai Morales as Del is tactful, as calculating as Marty but charmed the offer beyond logic...and ethics.
