I would just wear pads to sleep and if I’m in school and have P.E. or something I would say to usually wear a tampon then change to a pad afterwards

TEAM PADS, let me explain...
1. You always know when to change your pad because you can see it, unlike tampons where you would never know until you leak or you take it out
2. They are very easy to put on, unlike tampons where it can be extremely difficult if you haven't been doing it for a while
3. You don't have to worry about toxic shock, unlike tampons
4. This is debatable, but in my opinion, pads are pretty comfy and soft
5. I feel more protected with pads with wings because I have a very heavy flow

I feel like you can still use pads for sports, of course it depends what activities you're doing. I dance and play volleyball and I always use a pad. You CAN use a pad when you swim but it will expand and you can't use one with wings because people will see it. Some pads don't expand that much in the water or even a t all, while others sometimes break apart. Your period mostly stop in water anyways. So tampons, in my opinion, are only good for swimming and some sports.

Of course, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. I think you should at least try both to decide which you like better or if you like both but for different things (like me). But honestly, It shouldn't matter to anyone else what you put in or by your vagina to protect you while you're on your period.

Toxic shock comes from leaving the tampon over days not hours. Also it’s still very rare to contract

Team Tampons, why:
1: with tampons you don’t fell your blood flow
2: it’s wierd when pulling it out, but i got used to it
3: with pads, your sitting on your blood, and get more dirtier
4: I keep track of time when using tampons
