I think the warden is some kind of weird stalker thing that is watching the player. The golden carrot is because that’s the best food that the player can eat, The ice room is the warden trying to do more human acts by refrigerating it’s food, the portal is the warden trying to copy our nether and end portals, the original name for the warden was the stalker, the redstone under the portal (which has multiple rooms displaying different uses of redstone (like a lab)) is the warden copying the player even more, and the ancient city is the warden trying to recreate villages.

Edit: maybe the parasitic nature of the sculk blocks is representing how much Minecraft has grown and expanded throughout the years (this is unlikely though)

Actually, eating the golden carrot will send signal to the sculk sensor and eating will send stronger signal compactor making it open the secret door so try eating it near the secret door. Kingbdogz said that "You should eat the golden carrot near the door." he said on twitter.
