I’m a hygienist like Whitney and I feel the same. I’m used to seeing people who’ve come straight from the office or school kids after lunch. We don’t have a dedicated brushing area other than the bathroom but no disposable toothbrushes available so usually I say no worries. A healthy diet really does help any sticky carbs slide off because usually teeth are smooth. But other factors make food stick such as dry mouth, mouth breathing, root exposure, type and condition of restorations, and a person’s oral hygiene habits. Do your best and listen to any suggestions you’re given. If you forget to floss one or two plus nights, just get back to it and don’t stress. Also drink plenty of water!!

I do because I figured it's polite to have fresh breath when someone's in my mouth! Even with a mask you can sometimes smell unpleasant odors through it. Good to know that it also makes the job easier!

My last visit: Dentist said I don't need scaling. Just recommended polishing only to remove stains. He said that stains don't hurt my teeth, so I ended up not getting my teeth polished. What do you think? Should I go back for another visit?

I brush (and rinse, and floss) my teeth before fhe dentis for the same reason I shower before a pap smear 🤣 it's just basic good manners at the very least
