TYVM for the laugh...I needed it. I went to a used car dealer & told the sale man right after he said "Hello can I help you" "I do not need help I saw your ad. BTW I am paying cash & will not pay you asking price. Well, I saw another BMW (a classic) and walked out with $500. less asking price, no tax, tags or prep fees & got what was needed fixed. It has been almost 7 yrs & I am still driving my classic  BMW

Car salesman's dont know anything. I once went to a Toyota dealer asking if they had an 86 available for me to look at, the guy looked at me confused and said, "You mean an FRS? 86 is the company number for the car." I was dumbfounded. Then he went in a tangent about how the engines in the both the Twins were Porsche engines. My brain hurt after that.

If you purchase the car but never took possession of it cause you find some scratches and dealer took car to a body shop to fix it, is the deal is done or you can actually bank up on the deal? I never drove the car of dealership cause it was missing a charger and I find scratches?

I don't understand everyone's willingness to jump on the hate train for this guy. He's trying to be helpful unlike some other guys doing yoga challenges or dropping cinnamon in they're nostrils.

#5 The manager will yell at the salesperson after you leave with out buying.

#6 if someone is truly just looking and has no interest in buying and just walks away with the manager speaking to them, you will get sent home.

#7 If the sales person says please hang out for a couple of minutes my manager just wants to thank you for stopping in today please do.

#8 hold back is generally around $1-$1, 500 so always tell them I want invoice and the holdback off the car. they are still going to make a profit off of you in the (box) finance.

#9 I know all this because I was in the car business my self.

#10 (Bonus) if you don't like your sales person you can always ask for a new one all that you gotta say is give him at least the unit

Here’s another useful secret, if u plan on financing u should go after a car at least 2 1/2 years old. Normally the price of the car will drop dramatically, putting u in a position where u can finance much less for a nice vehicle

I bought a car in 2008. It was a 2005. It cost me x-amount but I was t-boned in the first month. Their fault. Then I found out the insurance only paid blue-book price and I was responsible for the new computer in it that needed to be replaced the first week, and the extra the lot had tacked on. I don't haggle. So the computer and commission was 750.$ I don't think that is very much. Very reasonable.

This are not secrets at all ?? Who cares if they dont no the full specs is your job to do your own research on the car u want to buy before u go to a dealer, and about the trade in car is just common sense the cleaner it looks the more you get out of it..

I agree with comments below. This is a good two minute video stretched to five and a half by repetition and blah blah.

Dude you sound like you are stress out.  Dude a car dealership has the right to make money.  Why be in business if you don't make money?  What secrets did you really share?

I bet all my customers watch this video before coming in to see me.

The only people that get the hold back is the owner not the reps. Sales people get 25% of profit after Pac (What is above invoice) so when you want 1000 off your asking can you take 250 out of your pocket?.
Honestly I don't understand why people this everything is a terrible deal and are against paying profit. It is a business after all. I don't mean paying full MSRP. I mean when I structure someone 500 over invoice with no extras they freak out because it's not low enough. If you can't afford that you shouldn't be looking at that car anyways. Sometimes ill be with someone grinding for 6-8 hours thinking I'm hiding thousands with kick backs and hold backs and finally sell my mini. My commission didn't cover the hourly. Out cars only have 600-2000 profit in them after 500 Pac.
