I'm glad ya'll didn't let them do the flooring.
My father always said about buying a new build home. Get in as cheap as you can. Because you are financing the interest on everything the house....floors... appliances..faucets...light fixtures for 15/30 years. And a lot of that will be replaced 1 or 2 times before the mortgage is paid off, and you'll still be paying for the original things with interest.
He was an architect.

We did this in one of our houses—we knew we’d change the flooring and wanted something higher quality that would still have been less than the builder’s option. Just took what came with the house and had it removed and replaced a bit later. Best decision. Your house is beautiful!

If only I could find someone that was reliable in Philly 😢. Have worked with 4 different contractors to get projects done in the house and each of them have pulled off something shady in the process. Happy to see there are still some good people out there providing a great service.

Omg this was such an amazing up grade !
