Oklahoma burger the best burger in the world

I decided to take down my website, so here’s the recipe instead thank you and sorry for the confusion

Oklahoma burger

For the burger I used Braising steak 217g - 7.5oz Brisket 394g - 14oz Sirloin steak 246g - 8.5oz

White onion 2
Burger cheese
Shredded lettuce
Sliced tomato
Dill pickles

For the burger sauce equal quantities of mayo and ketchup, some chopped dill pickle and some of the juice, a tsp of dijon mustard, a few splashes of tabasco, salt and pepper
I love it when a recipe is born out of necessity, and the Oklahoma burger is exactly that. In the great depression 1929-1939 meat became very expensive so Ross Davis the patron of 'The Hamburger Inn' El Reno Oklahoma started adding cheap onions to his diner style burgers, which were smash burgers. He'd put a small patty of beef on the griddle and a stack of shredded onion on top of the patty, when squished together the beef and onion complemented each other so well that it wasn't long before word spread and other El Reno restaurants followed suit. A legend was born.

As much as I love British and in particular English culture. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a Brit rave about American food. Especially when its from my birth state of Oklahoma.

Never heard of a Oklahoma burger. Even being in the states. But we make burgers this exact same way everywhere. It's how I make them. I like more fat in mine. I grate frozen butter into the meat 🥴 badass.

Well done sir, bang on. Of course the original didn’t have a brioche bun but now that we’re not in desperate financial straits why wouldn’t you use one, as for the tomato thing whatever floats your boat the original didn’t have it either but it didn’t have much but it still became a national treasure. 👍
