Simply the best! While I have have no intention of buying a Tranz drivetrain I enjoyed watching this as it was better than SRAM's official install video.... Quick question, when the little tab 'broke off' on the shifter pod button(s) what exactly happened there? Did it break trying to get the OE buttons off and if yes, are they trash now or is that supposed to happen?

Oval ring, waxed chain, electronic shifter, this gentleman does not miss the past.

Love the video, better setup guide than actual SRAM.

Though even as a super confident mechanic it just underlines how much functionally better my Shimano XT mechanical is
Lighter, 1/10 of the cost, easier to repair/source parts, better shifter ergonomics and functionally no performance loss.

No one won a MTB race because their drivetrain was electronic.

That extra $1500 is better spent on a skills clinic or a riding holiday or brakes, suspension, fresh tyres

Great video and I agree - better than the SRAM official one. Now I have to learn (have learnt) a new way to tighten up the rear wheel after replacing! Also good to see you have it working with the oval, I will have to swap out my Power Meter in order to do this (back to 4 bolts) since the super nice XXSL one only has the threaded rings and SRAM doesn't have a threaded oval (yet anyhow)

One thing I like about, peddle backwards and the chain does not fall off lol, I can’t use this because my middlechild is not UDH . It is interesting . Your vids very informative now I understand this sram stuff . 👍🏼

Thanks for your video. Without watching this I would have been lost. It’s totally different from any other drivetrain so I had to unlearn my mechanical shifting thinking

I'm changing over to T type and this video is absolutely the best tutorial out there! Thank you LoveMTB. Subbed for sure. Cheers.

I will need to rewatch this video, ahehe! I'm amazed at this new stuff, I do hope it's not really that complicated during operation.

Lots of love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from my end--the Philippines! #RideOn #KeepBiking

These videos are very nice, thanks! I am quite surprised there aren't bunch of angry comments on having to create a account to "ride your new transmission"

Perfect manual. Perfect video. I don't need it yet, because my Spark is 2019 and not UDH-compactable, but it was please to see such a nice video. Thanks.

Great vid as usual! My bike doesn’t have UDH, so it looks like I’m stuck with my good ole Shimano XT 11 speed for now. I’m not complaining!

Hi, you gave the best tutorial video on T-type shifters. I'm a new comer to the channel and staying tuned always. Thanks, best regards from Venezuela

I upgraded my 2022 Spark from X01 AXS to the new X0 T-Type. I used the EMTB kit, as I already had the XX1 8-bolt cranks and Quarc power meter with 104BCD. Unfortunately the chain ring required a little dremeling to fit onto the power meter, but I was able to make it fit.

I was interested to discover that the additional (convex) buttons were not provided in the kit; I'm guessing they have removed them due to the easy breakage. It definitely is the Pod Ultimate rather than the regular pod though. I prefer the new shifter to the Eagle AXS, which I found to be too light touch, resulting in accidental double shifts when riding over bumpy terrain.

I find the chain slap is much reduced compared to the regular AXS, and also much appreciate the more even spacing on gear 2 and 3; the jump on the older cassettes between the 52 and 42 was too much.

Great video! I have been looking for the answer about replacing my AXS XO1 on my tracer with a t-type and keeping my 5Dev cranks and oval with it. Glad I can do that!

Great video thanks!! Picks up on a number of points that the official SRAM video doesn't make clear. Question - If the derailleur needs to be removed to box the bike for air travel just how crucial is the 35nm tightening on reassembly? I'm thinking reassembly at an airport with minimal tools. Or would you just leave it in place if possible? Thanks.

Since I tried GX AXS last year I doubled down on mechanical drivetrains, T-type prices and flat top chains confirmed to myself that I was following the right path, I used to be a SRAM drivetrain person but now TRP is what I expect from a modern no fuss mountain bike drivetrain.
