N1 Rocket Hot Staging

Hot staging refers to a method of rocket propulsion in which the rocket's stages are ignited while still attached to each other. This allows for the rocket to achieve a higher specific impulse (a measure of the efficiency of a rocket's propulsion system) by using the exhaust from the lower stages to ignite the upper stages.
The N1 Rocket used a hot-staging system in its design, with multiple stages igniting while still attached to each other. This allowed for the rocket to achieve a higher specific impulse and more efficient propulsion, but unfortunately, this system was one of the reasons for the rocket's failure as it turned out to be quite complex and not reliable.

The N1 super heavy-lift launch vehicle intended to deliver payloads beyond low Earth orbit. The N1 was the Soviet counterpart to the US Saturn V and was intended to enable crewed travel to Earth's Moon and beyond. Its first stage remains the most powerful rocket stage ever built, but all of the four flown N1 Block A first stages failed. The N1 was designed to compete with the United States Apollo program to land a person on the Moon, using a similar lunar orbit rendezvous method.

I love the plume interactions with the previous stage as it lights up when it's still attached!

In the ‘for all mankind’ universe this is the hero of the space race.

Ahhh you finally added the hot firing between interstages on separations, that was missed on your older n1 vids.
That alone puts this as my favourite N1 vid from you!

Took me a while to think this wasn't "For all mankind" show

All the smoke and flame effects are up a notch. This is now cinema effects territory, which is amazing as you are one guy doing this. Hats off to an amazing job.

you are the Michel Angelo of launch animations and the Bob Ross of the surroundings. The rocket looks and sounds real and so does everything around it.

I LOVE THE N1! AND THE DIGITAL RECONSTRUCTION OF YOURS ARE TOTALLY BREATHTAKING!
EDIT: it's such a sad thing that of the 6 or 7 N1 Moon Rockets built - the precise number of completed N1s is unprecised -, besides those which "self-destructed themselves" during the 4 disastrous unmanned tests, the "survived ones" had been scrapped to hide any sort of evidence to the West Block of the failed Soviet Moon Rocket plan.
It would have been be so great to see both Von Braun's Saturn V and Korolev's N1 in display side by side!
Two giant beautiful monsters of rocketing engeneering honoring that eroic era of the Space Race.
Anyone agrees with me?

hands down one of the coolest staging sequences of any rocket

THe greatest rocket ever developed ended up becoming parts for Russian bus shelters. At least it was in a way reusable!
It's amazing how history completely forgets the epic failures.

2:40 minor correction: the Russian lunar lander was supposed to use a "crash booster" which isn't depicted here. The crash booster's role was like a booster stage during liftoff, except in reverse. It would have shed most of the velocity needed to land, then it would run out of fuel and be discarded, leaving it to crash into the surface (hence the name).

Your work would have been golden globe nomination worthy a decade ago (or less!)
