Far more exciting than I expected it to be!
Lose the computer voice... any real voice would be better!

Any channel using AI voice is a garbage channel.

Great rundown of the news and Starship test flight. Elon implied they weren't terribly surprised by the heat-shield failure, but I'm sure nobody expect the ship to make it through reentry while parts of it were melting away. That's a very reliable design.

When I saw the heat damage melting the ship, I was like aww crap, guess we have a big bug to iron out before it's successful...but it kept going...and going...and going...and then I'm thinking "holy crap it's still in one piece AND still on course. Then I was like holy cow is it actually going to make it!? And then the fins started changing the orientation of the vehicle for the last 10 miles down. The fins, were in fact still working despite the damage! They were a bit more sluggish than before but functional enough where the computer was able to calculate and identify what each fin can and can't do demonstrating highly adaptive capabilities of starship's computers. And then it performed the flip maneuver the raptors lighted up! They ALSO were still working. And executed the flip maneuver and landing burn perfectly just like SN15 and starship splashed down. May both those vehicles enjoy their retirement in the ocean, they've earned it!

There is nothing bad to say about this mission. It was a success. I did what it had in intended to do.

I would think there's no need to file a mishap report this time, which could reduce the amount of time until the next flight. The flap design has already been addressed in the next version of starship.

Another wonderfully concise but till detailed and informative report. Nicely done.

I can't seem to find a video of the astronauts in the starship hardware on the Internet

The camera view all the way from launch to landing is amazing. Are there more than the 2 camera views on Ship? Were any more of the fins damaged?

Will or have the two sections been recovered? It will be interesting to see a video of the booster and Starship.

May I suggest videos with only one topic in each video. This video could be split in the following: Starship ITF4, Starship spacesuit, Dear moon, Starliner, and Chang'e 6

So did the Starliner surive? and was it retrieved anong with the booster?

It boggles my mind how people have the nerve to criticize the cancelation of the moon flight as they really want spacex to just go ahead and launch them in an inferior spacecraft. I guess they never got the memo that space travel is hard.

The plasma is not due to friction heating, but from compression of the air.
