In this video, we’re looking at how good or bad the Chase Sapphire Preferred actually is. There is a ton of value packed inside the Chase Sapphire Credit Card, however the card will come with a $95 annual fee, which may or may not be justified. With the Chase Sapphire Credit Card you will be able to redeem over $200 worth of value, including an annual travel credit for $50 to be used with a hotel stay. Additionally with the Chase Sapphire Preferred you will have the ability to earn 5x points on your Chase travel, 3x on your Dining, Online Grocery Order and Select Streaming Services. You can also earn 2x on your other travel purchases and 1x everywhere else. The Chase Sapphire Preferred will also grant an unbelievable 25% additional value on every point redeemed for travel inside of the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal. Finally, Chase as a ecosystem will offer 14 amazing transfer partners including 11 for airlines and 3 for hotels. Although these perks are incredible, there are also some other great cards out there including the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Wells Fargo Autograph Journey! Be sure to watch until the end to see whether the Chase Sapphire Preferred is worth getting and where the Chase Sapphire Preferred is worth passing on!

This is my go to credit card, absolutely love the 25% boost on the points plus some great travel perks. No need to get platinum or reserve unless you want the lounges

I have carried the CSP and CSR before, I would definitely say the CSP is better just because you still get a ton of value with it, arguably better spending categories and honestly you don’t have the stress of paying $550

I just got this card too. I wish they would add 3X points for gas though, and maybe add 3X for groceries on one of the Freedom cards to be more competitive with other issuers. Sometimes I question whether I should be using the Chase Trifecta or the Citi Trifecta, or even the Capital One Duo.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is definitely worth the $95 annual fee, even for someone who does not travel a whole lot! I just got the card about a month ago and I am still working on the spend for the 75K welcome offer. I do like to take short 2 or 3 day trips a few times every year, so I can definitely use the $50 annual hotel credit. If nothing else, I figure that gives me an effective AF of $45, which I can justify. The 1.25x point boost when transferring UR points also adds value to the card, along with the travel protections. I kind of wish the CSP offered 3x points on gas instead of on dining, when the Freedom cards already offer 3x on dining. However, I may end up making the CSP as my dedicated dining card, instead of the Freedom cards. Great comparison of the CSP with the CSR and the Autograph Journey!

CSP $95 annual fee or VENTURE REWARDS $95 annual fee

This is still the best 95 dollar credit card.

CSP is my travel card. Since I live in rural American, the coupon book cards won't give me much day to day value.

at 9:40 You have the Autograph journey listed with a $550 annual fee in your card comparison.

If I wanted a travel card, this may be the one I consider for the cost.
